About Saunders Learning Group

Saunders Learning Group was founded to provide training to the financial services industry.  We develop and delivery customized training to match your needs. Our instructional design approach starts with a needs analysis, followed by a course design document. Only once we fully understand your needs do we develop and deliver training using methods that are most appropriate for the training audience.

Our extensive experience delivering training across the financial services industry is supported by practical experience in retail bank operations, personal trusts, financial planning, commercial banking operations, insurance, annuity and health insurance sales, tax preparation, private banking, institutional trust, and technology management.

Our consulting engagements have included working with Wells Fargo Personal Trust Division, American Bankers Association, Citicorp’s letters of credit operations unit, Bank of America and a variety of community banks. Additional consulting assignments have included working with H.R. Block, TransAmerica and Security Benefit.

More about Floyd Saunders

Floyd’s background in training started in the United States Air Force, where he completed the Academic Instructors School, and first learned the principles and practices of instructional Systems Design.

After teaching at an Air Force Leadership School, he later joined Bank of America, and learned retail bank operations before joining the management training department and later was a senior employee development specialist. He has worked as independent training developer for the past 30 years.

In addition to his military and corporate training experience, Floyd has taught extensively for the American Banking Institute. 

As an adjunct professor, Floyd has taught Principles of Management, Money and Banking, Principles of Banking, Managerial Finance, and Personal Financial Planning courses.

Additional training development experience has been gained in developing and teaching courses in: Program and Project management, Managing Project Managers, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Innovation for Project Managers, Finance for Project Managers, Scope Management, Project Leadership, Risk Management, Vendor Management, Contracting for Project Managers, Contract administration and Negotiation of Contracts for Services.

Other prior employment includes technology management roles at JPMorganChase, for global financial systems, reference data systems and investment banking.
